Programs

The Lost Boys and Girls Memorial Foundation (LBGMF) focuses on engaging all its members living in the Diaspora in the cultural, scientific, educational and economic affairs as well as celebrating current successes and helping shape the future. The Foundation’s long-term outcomes are to protect, preserve, and promote the legacy of the Lost Boys and Girls of (South) Sudan. Under this diaspora platform, the foundation will achieve its mission by carrying out the following programs.

Family Enrichment Program​

The Lost Boys and Girls Memorial Foundation will develop programs that are geared towards that preserve the culture of the South Sudanese immigrations while helping them integrate into their new communities, develops and run family enrichment programs, encourage financial literacy and empowerment and support those who are economically, physically, mentally and social challenged.

Documentation and Preservation​

The Lost Boys and Girls Memorial Foundation (LBGMF) will encourage its stakeholders to start tracing, gathering and documenting stories and other historical artefacts connected to the Lost Boys and Girls and South Sudanese civil war. This will aid in gathering the necessary materials for the Memorial Library and Museum to be built in South Sudan. A website will be used to register and gather social history and build a database.

Documentation and Preservation​

The Lost Boys and Girls Memorial Foundation will use the tragic stories and testimonies of the Lost Boys and Girls to draw attention to the suffering of children as a result of war – child soldiering, neglect and abuse.
